Paul Nettle

Paul has been developing 3D graphics applications for over 15 years as a professional consultant and full-time programmer. During this time, he has worked in the gaming industry contributing to numerous titles including Apache Strike, RoboCop, Heavy Barrel, California Games II, and Monster Truck Madness II. While working at Terminal Reality Inc. Paul developed the powerful KAGE graphics engine along with a suite of support tools like a Radiosity Processor and 3D Modeller. In addition he worked on "FLY!" -- a general aviation flight simulator. Paul has also worked as a lead programmer for an image processing firm and as a manager of software engineering at a voice processing company. For a while he ran his own software company called "Hot Wax Software" which produced a 2D morphing program called CMorph ("The Complete Morph") which started off as shareware and went commercial in three countries. His true passion and most of his focus is on real-time computer graphics, accurate rendering, improved realism and the study of visible surface determination. Paul has dedicated much of his energy to sharing this information on the GraphicsPapers.com website and with the many technical documents he has written over the years. He is also the author of the Ask MidNight featured column on flipCode.com.
